Today’s patch refreshes how CS2 feels to play: brand-new first-person animations, cleaner gunplay feedback, and a chunky pass on classic maps. Let’s break it down 👇
🎞️ Animation
The animation system is moving to AnimGraph2.
All first-person animations—deploy, fire, reload, inspect—have been reauthored for a crisper, more responsive look.
Chickens got a full animation pass, too.
More personality, fewer janky loops.
🎮 Gameplay
Improved damage prediction while shooting on the move.
Hits feel more consistent when you’re strafing.
Shotgun reloads no longer auto-resume after an interruption.
Tighter control in hectic trades.
Fixed cases of players getting stuck on geometry while surfing.
Smoother ramps, fewer “I’m wedged” moments.

Per-player voice volume adjustments now behave correctly.

Overpass
Breakable glass added to B doors, Heaven railing tweaked, truck angle adjusted and truck-to-stairs sightline blocked. Dumpster wall moved & retouched, grass trimmed near A, broken-wall tops near B flattened, and wires re-enabled.
Train
New cover at A (Hell train), fresh cover and platform tweaks near B/Z and Upper B halls, refined Ivy cover. Raised CT platform on B, lighting touched up on B, and broad clipping cleanup. Visual noise reduced on A-site doors.
Inferno
Church windows above Coffins opened; garden path narrowed at door/widened by Coffins. First B-box reshaped, A-balcony railing fixed, Mid curbs removed, Arch light moved to ceiling, Banana visuals tuned for player legibility, plus prop adjustments throughout.
Dogtown
Updated to the latest Community Workshop version (see workshop notes for full details).
